Charles Schulz original hand-drawn ''Peanuts'' comic strip, published 16 September 1953, less than three years after the series' debut. In this strip, Violet pushes Charlie Brown too far with her teasing, as she becomes afraid of his reaction. Charlie Brown though, characteristically, is on the verge of tears rather than anger, to Violet's surprise. Strip measures 28.75'' x 6.75'', hinged at top with archival tape to mat. United Feature Syndicate label appears on fourth panel. Light toning and a few specks of discoloration, overall in very good condition.
