Charles Schulz sketch of Snoopy, also signed by Schulz, within a first edition of ''A New Peanuts Book Featuring Snoopy'', published in New York: Rhinehart & Co., 1958. The beloved ''Peanuts'' canine is sketched in profile in blue ballpoint on the half-title page, and signed by Schulz underneath the sketch. This Snoopy-centered book is the fifth ''Peanuts'' book and features publisher's R on the copyright page as a first edition. Unpaginated book with a pair of four-panel comics on every page is bound in pictorial paper softcovers. Measures 5.25'' x 8''. Mild discoloration to covers, light uniform toning and tear to one interior page. Overall very good to near fine condition.
