Charles Conrad personally owned Apollo 12 crew-signed cover, which almost made it aboard the spacecraft for the second moon landing mission. Cover postmarked 14 November 1969 - the day of launch, is boldly signed by all three men in black felt-tip, ''Charles Conrad'', ''Dick Gordon'' and ''Alan L. Bean''. Cover is affixed to LOA, also signed by Conrad, which reads in part, ''...The set of covers were originally planned to be flown on our flight to the moon. However, we collectively agreed not to fly them to avoid favoritism due to multiple requests to fly a variety of covers in our personal preference kits. This cover is one from my personal collection.'' Cover measures 6.5'' x 3.625'', affixed to LOA measuring 10.75'' x 8.25''. Apollo 11 stamp obscures part of Gordon's signature, and touches the end of the other two signatures, else near fine condition.
