Carole Lombard monogrammed Bible, owned by the actress before her tragic death at age 33. Bible is bound in black pebbled leather, with ''Carole Lombard Powell'' monogrammed in gilt to the inside front cover. Edges of King James Bible are also beautifully accentuated in pink gilt. From the estate of William Powell, who retained the Bible after his divorce from Lombard in 1933, with the couple remaining close friends after their separation. Bible measures 6.75'' x 10''. Some wear at spine edges, otherwise near fine condition.
