Dress worn by comedic legend Carol Burnett on an episode of the long-running TV series ''The Carol Burnett Show''. The dress was designed by Academy Award nominated costume designer Bob Mackie, who was the designer for every episode of the show that ran from 1967-1978. Burnt orange and yellow wool dress features grey faux fur lining to the cuffs and bottom, as well as grey and brown faux fur lining to the shoulders. Attached to the left shoulder are two braided rope attachments, likely related to the sketch in which Burnett wore it. Dress features a square opening at the chest, and a zipper to the rear which zips down to the waist. Burnett's name is written to the original John Reid Costumes, Inc. wardrobe tag underneath the collar. Measures 14'' across the chest. Tiny holes throughout, none affecting the integrity of the construction. Very good.
