Carl Jung autograph letter signed, composed on 25 October 1944 with original transmittal envelope. Jung writes to his mentee, Dr. Rivkah Scharf, regarding a religious symbol. Translated from German, letter reads in full, ''Dear Miss! / You positively scared me with this mountain of information! I am very grateful to you, of course, for the large amount of work you accomplished. My point of departure was a glass panel from St. Denis (12th century), on which God the Father, holding the crucifix, is standing on a 4-wheeled cart with the inscription 'qvadrige aminadab.' The parallel is obviously Ezek.1: the vehiculum Dei. Your hypothesis of the sun chariot strikes me as very plausible. / Again, my best thanks to you! / Your very devoted / C.G. Jung''. Single page letter measures 5.75'' x 8.25''. Minor creasing and single fold, overall near fine condition. Accompanied by translation with a picture of the glass panel for reference.
