Carl Jung autograph letter signed, composed on 23 May 1944 shortly after his hospital stay where he reportedly suffered hallucinations at night. Jung writes to fellow psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf, translated from German in full,

''Dear Miss! / I thank you greatly for kindly sending me the kabbalistic text. It exactly confirms my intuitions and experiences. I was deeply affected by it. During the darkest period of my illness, every night it seemed to me that I spent some time in the 'garden of pomegranates.' These days, I mostly spend my time trying to walk again. I am still quite weak and not able to do any real mental work. However, I read the material you sent me with great interest. I am returning to this world only gradually. / I hope that you are well. How is the dissertation coming along? / With warmest greetings / Your always faithful / C.G. Jung''.

Single page measures 8.25'' x 5.875''. Vertical fold, overall near fine. With original envelope composed in Jung's hand.
