Award honoring Captain Kangaroo, bestowed by the Emmy Awards' governing body, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Medal mounted to a wooden plaque dates to the late 1950's, during the earliest years of the Academy. Issued in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the television medium, custom medal recognizes Robert Keeshan for his program Captain Kangaroo. Mounted to a wooden frame measuring 7'' square, with a hinged stand for propping upright. Minor abrasion to wood at upper right corner, else fine.
