The Cannes Lions Festival debuted in 1954, alternating its location between Cannes and Venice for several years before permanently settling in Cannes in 1984. Plaque on pedestal translates from French, ''XVII Festival International / for Film Advertising / Television Group Cat. 5/B / Awarded to: Screen Gems / Advertiser: Kellogg Company / Venice 1970''. Award measures 3.5'' x 4.75''. Chip to top left portion of pedestal and hallowing to portion of plaque, otherwise near fine.
