Commemorative bronze medal from the VIII Cannes Film Festival in 1955, given to guests during the invitation-only event. Cannes is one of the ''Big Five'' international film festivals, where films such as ''Pulp Fiction'', ''Taxi Driver'' and ''Parasite'' have premiered. Obverse of medal shows the first Palais des Festivals building in relief, with ''Cannes'' at bottom. Reverse has ''VIIIe Festival International Du Film Amateur 1955'', and the medal is marked ''Bronze'' on rim. Measures 2'' in diameter, housed in original red circular box. Very good plus condition.
