C.S. Lewis autograph letter signed, penned in black fountain pen on Magdalen College, Cambridge stationery. Dated 22 April 1958, shortly after ''The Chronicles of Narnia'' was published, Lewis writes to Dr. G.R. Owst, author of ''Preaching in Medieval England'',

''I have had no word from Professor [Przemysław] Mroczkowski yet about the time of his arrival. He dines and spends the night with me and I shall of course be at the lecture, but we are not otherwise engaged to one another. He is therefore entirely free, so far as I am concerned, for the times of the day that interest you - though I don't know what train from Oxford will enable him to 'make it'. / Yours sincerely / C.S. Lewis''. Single page letter measures 5'' x 8''. Single fold, overall near fine. Accompanied by original envelope in Lewis' hand, postmarked from Cambridge on 22 April 1958.
