''Howdy Doody'' costume screen-worn on the show by its host and co-creator, Buffalo Bob Smith, and also worn on the cover of ''TV Guide'' magazine from 1954. Suit is known to be the only surviving costume from the early 1950s era of ''Howdy Doody''. Cowboy style costume includes fringed jacket with a buffalo image sewn on the back, matching fringed pants, and a belt with decorative metal pieces sewn on. Custom-made costume is approximate size large. Light discoloration in spots, and a few small holes. Overall in very good condition. With an LOA from Robin Smith, Bob Smith's son.
