Typed letter of approval signed by the famed children's programming producer, Jules Power, allowing Robert Keeshan to work on two children's shows simultaneously. Overlapping with his first show, ''Time For Fun,'' Keeshan pioneered ''Tinker's Workshop,'' the prototype program that paved the way for his successful show, Captain Kangaroo. Tinker's Workshop ran from 1954-59 on the WABC weekday morning time slot. Typed letter signed on ''Jules Power Productions'' stationery is dated 8 November 1954 and is addressed to Keeshan, reading in part, ''Dear Bob: This will serve as written approval of your employment in the role of a toymaker over the local television facilities of WABC-TV. As long as this employment does not violate any of our contractual obligations with the agency or the sponsor of 'Time For Fun,' our approval will continue...'' Signed ''Jules Power'' in blue ink. Letter on 1pp. measures 8.5'' x 11''. Includes original postmarked envelope. Near fine.
