Partially-printed document dated 2 September 1892 appoints one Edgar Strayers to the position of Assistant Surgeon in the Marine Hospital Service of the United States. Countersigned by Charles Foster, as Secretary of the Treasury. Measures approximately 17'' x 15''. Framed to an overall size of 22.75'' x 20''. Document has not been removed from the frame for further inspection, but appears near fine.
