Benito Mussolini autograph letter signed, dated 11 July 1926 when Mussolini served as Italian Prime Minister and also Duce of Fascism. At this time Mussolini was dismantling all checks on his power and recently survived the first assassination attempt on his life. Upon ''Il Capo del Governo'' stationery, Mussolini writes, ''Dear Volpi, I have written to [Filippo, Governor of Rome] Cremonesi, telling him that he should accept the cuts assigned to his budget by the Finance Ministry, even if he will have to slow down a little. I have also advised him to disentangle himself - if necessary - from the Municipal Electoral Association, as in the case of Milan. Cordially, / Mussolini / 11 July 1926''. Single page letter on card-style stationery measures 6.75'' x 8.5''. Light toning, small punch hole and horizontal fold; overall very good plus condition.
