Arthur Ashe silver award, bestowed upon the tennis legend in 1980 by ''The French.'' Circular silver platter is engraved: ''To Arthur From the French... / Thanks for the memories / Paris May 1980''. This was the last year of Ashe's pro career, as he retired in 1980 after suffering from a career-debilitating heart attack. Measures 13.25'' in diameter with some tarnishing throughout, else very good condition. With an LOA from Ashe's widow.
