United States flag flown to the moon on the Apollo 16 mission, affixed to the NASA certificate signed by all three crew-members: John Young, Charlie Duke, and Ken Mattingly. Certificate is also inscribed (likely by Mattingly) to the NASA engineer who received it: ''Don Holkan - Thanks for your part in making this possible''. Certificate reads at top, ''This flag was carried to the moon by the crew of Apollo 16''. Flag measures 6'' x 4'', with certificate framed to a size of 18.5'' x 15.5''. Uniform toning and spot of discoloration to flag, overall very good condition.
