Large map of the moon, documenting where Apollo 11 touched down in 1969. Entitled ''Geologic Map of Apollo Landing Site 2 (Apollo 11)'', map was rendered by cartographer Maurice J. Grolier and published in 1970 by the U.S. Geological Survey, in conjunction with NASA. It shows the detailed topography of the lunar surface near Tranquillity Base, with a colored legend giving more information on the the size and composition of the craters and soil. Map measures 40.75'' x 23.75'', folded for storing in its 9.25'' x 11.75'' envelope. Near fine condition.
