Andrew Johnson signed speech of New York Congressman Fernando Wood, who had previously served as Mayor of New York. Speech is dated 19 January 1870 and discusses the ''Management of the Treasury Department'' under President Grant. Speech printed by the Congressional Globe Office in Washington, D.C. Signed by Johnson in pencil on the first page. Measures 6.5'' x 9.5'' and runs 8 pages. Uncut and unopened in self-wrappers. Folds, minor foxing and creasing along ridge edge of first page. Very good condition.
