Dated 4 January 1831, partially-printed document on vellum grants an eighty-eight acre parcel of land in Monroe, Michigan to one James Thurman Jr. Countersigned by Elijah Hayward as Commissioner of the General Land Office, with a seal affixed to lower left. Measures 15.5'' x 10''. With folds, toning and fading to ink. Very good.
