Jackson is responding to a letter from the Navy Department datelined Washington, 12 May 1831 regarding the service of a Naval officer. Document measures 7.75'' x 9.5''. Toning, some paper loss at bottom and separation starting along folds. Overall good condition with bold writing by Jackson.
