Abraham Lincoln magic lantern slide, taken by photographer Anthony Berger on 9 February 1864, as Lincoln's thoughts were deep in the Civil War. The stately image of Lincoln has been used for the $5 dollar bill since its re-design in 1914. Glass slide measures 4'' x 3.25'', including casing. Paper label on side reads ''Private Collection of George S. Paine''. A bit of soiling, overall in very good condition.
