Emmy award presented at the 2012 Sports Emmy Awards. Associate producer Moses Massena won in the category of ''Outstanding Playoff Coverage'' for the NLCS between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants. The first Sports Emmy award was issued in 1950 as part of a regular Emmy ceremony, though the field of sports coverage earned a ceremony all on its own in 1979. The iconic winged woman holding an atom stands on the convex, grid-lined surface of a round metal base, plated in 18k gold. Flat perimeter of base reads: ''THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES''. Plaque is engraved with 6 lines naming the award, its category and recipient: ''2012 SPORTS EMMY AWARDS / OUTSTANDING PLAYOFF COVERAGE / NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES / 'CARDINALS VS. GIANTS' / FOX / MOSES MASSENA, ASSOCIATE PRODUCER''. Measures 15.25'' in total height with 7.5'' diameter base and weighs 6 lbs., 15 oz. Dimensions are the same as Emmys presented in the standard Creative Arts category. Presented in near fine condition.
