Walmart photo album, featuring 47 photos from the early days of the retail powerhouse. Several photos show entrepreneur Sam Walton, posing in the stores, attending a ribbon cutting hosted by a beauty pageant winner, and talking to a bear mascot. Many other photos show merchandise displays, the exteriors of early ''Walmart Discount City'' stores, a DJ entertaining customers and two employees with a large, primitive computing cash register. Album consists of 27 photos from the 1970s measuring 5.25'' x 3.5'' and 20 photos measuring 3.25'' x 4.25'', mostly Polaroids. Album measures 13.25'' x 9.25''. Very good condition. Rarely found early Walmart memorabilia.
