Leon Shamroy's 1952 Color Cinematography Academy Award nomination for ''The Snows of Kilimanjaro''. This is the film that Shamroy was proudest of, with his other credits including ''The King and I'', ''South Pacific'' and ''Cleopatra''. Plaque is signed both by then-president and secretary of the Academy and includes an official gold Academy seal affixed to lower left. Oscar figure appears gilt-embossed in the background of the nomination. Certificate is inlaid in wood and measures 12'' x 13.5''. Some wear, especially along right edge; overall in very good condition.
