Autograph letter signed by a prisoner in Sachsenhausen concentration camp, stamped with the date 24 October 1943. The writer inscribes to verso his date of birth as ''8.6.08'', followed by ''#63654 Bloc 1a Hei. / Near Berlin''. He writes to Natalia Oszczygie in Warsaw, in German as required by the camp's rules. Text translates, ''Dearest Nadecko! I am letting you know that I've received your letter joyfully and thankfully. It contained so much very valuable news for me after such a long time. Write to me when Jozio is married. I am sending the couple my best as well as his daughter. I send my best wishes to you my dearest as well as Dyrio. May you, grandmother and grandfather be happy! Thankfully I have received the parcel. In it there was marmalade, sugar, dough...bread and apples. I also received a similar package from my mother for which I thank her very much. My dear write to me how well my mother is in her age...I thank you all and kiss you as well as all others...and friends. [signed illegibly]''. Single-page letter on concentration camp stationery measures approximately 5'' x 8''. Toning, creasing and chipping to edges of delicate leaf. Very good condition.
