Middlesex Spence's British ''Condor'' halfpenny token, circa 1793, showing Thomas Paine as the hanging man on the obverse with the words ''End of Pain'', and the 5-line phrase on reverse, ''May the Knave of Jacobin Clubs Never Get a Trick''. Unregulated by the British government, privately minted ''Condor'' tokens often had political messages such as this one. Plain edge copper token measures 30mm in diameter. Reference D&H 830a.
