Stereoview from 1884 of Sioux Chief Gall and his family, taken at the World's Fair in New Orleans. Chief Gall was one of the commanders at the Battle of Little Bighorn, approximately eight years before this photo was taken. At this time of the World's Fair, Gall had converted to Christianity and served as manager at the Standing Rock reservation. Stereoview is #461, published by Centennial Photographic Co. of Philadelphia. Stereoview measures 7'' x 4.25''. With 1885 copyright stamp to edge of photos. Light wear, overall very good condition.
