William Shatner reflects on his ''Star Trek'' romantic partner, Nichelle Nichols, in this handwritten signed recollection, and reveals stealing glances in her direction while on set. Composed on his personal stationery, it reads in full, ''Nichelle Nichols is one [of] the most talented people you will ever meet. She can sing and dance and of course act - and she is really beautiful. She is now a lovely grey haired older citizen. Back when she was younger, she was an extraordinarily beautiful woman - she would sit to my left on set and I would sneak looks over there, admiring her and occasionally flirt with her - one day the script called for me to kiss her - didn't have to be asked twice. I'm not sure of her personal life - she had a handsome son. I don't know what he's doing but Nichelle continues to sing - and by the way, she was a member of a famous dance group. What a talent! - She also is very responsive to her obligation to help her fellow citizens. I didn't keep up with her after our show was cancelled - but I did interview her for a book I was writing on Star Trek - I couldn't remember some of the juicy things that had happened on set - so I asked her about them and she whole heartedly reminded me - They were Juicy. / William Shatner''.
