Commemorative gold record presented to Tex Beneke for his work on ''Chattanooga Choo Choo'', the very first song to sell one million copies. Beneke was playing and signing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1941 when the song was released. Presentation includes gold record and plaque that reads: ''TO TEX BENEKE / CHATTANOOGA CHOO-CHOO / FIRST GOLD RECORD IN HISTORY / BLUEBIRD-B11230 / 1941''. Plaque is bookended with matching metal torches. Measures 12'' x 16''. Minor scratching and wear to record and plaque, minor scratching to right edge of wood, overall very good condition. With an LOA from Beneke's step-children.
