1869 pass issued by the first baseball team in American history, the Buckeye Base Ball Club of Cincinnati. Partially printed pass instructs: ''Admit Harry Heys and Lady to all games of the BBC'' within a printed oval-shaped line. Verso is labeled ''No. 138'' and is signed in black by the team's former third baseman ''B.O.M. DeBeck'' as Treasurer. The Buckeyes were the Cincinnati Red Stockings' original rival, and were eventually absorbed into the Red Stockings. Lavender pass measures 3.25'' x 2''. The word ''Junior'' is inscribed in black to the right edge. Fading to center of both sides, creasing and a sliver of surface loss to right edge. In good to very good condition, especially given age. A scarce baseball collectible.
