Lyndon B. Johnson signs a first edition copy of ''The Vantage Point: Perspectives of the Presidency 1963-1969.'' Holt, Rinehart and Winston: New York: 1971. The former President signs upon a bookplate embossed with his initials and the presidential seal affixed to the half-title page: ''Lyndon B. Johnson''. Enclosed with the book is a 4'' x 2.5'' card printed ''Mr. and Mrs. Lyndon Baines Johnson'' with ''Merry Christmas'' written in an unknown hand. Stated first edition with unclipped dustjacket measures 6.25'' x 9.5'' and runs 636pp. Fine condition.
