Rose Kennedy typed letter signed on her husband's personal French stationery. She types ''Mrs.'' before his name on the letterhead and writes her sister-in-law's name as the addressee. The prior week's Democratic National Convention saw JFK lose the Vice Presidential ballot: ''...After the excitement of the convention...Jack arrived last night and gave us the details. We all thought he looked very well and seems to be in good spirits but said he was very tired. Tomorrow he and Ted start off on their boat...[signed in pencil] Rose''. Single page measures 8'' x 10''. Toning and creasing, else near fine.
