Sally Ride's personally owned leather bomber jacket with shearling collar, worn by the groundbreaking astronaut during her early years at NASA and likely later flying her Grumman Tiger single engine plane. Brown leather jacket is G-1 style, made by Ralph Edwards Sportswear who was contracted by NASA to provide astronauts with jackets for their flight training. Size 36, with measurements as follows: 22.5" long from shoulder seam to sleeve (including the knit ribbing); 22.5" long from shoulder seam to bottom of jacket (including knit ribbing); 17.5" across when zipped. Minor wear, overall very good plus condition. With an LOA from CMG Worldwide who represents the Sally Ride estate.
