WWII Iwo Jima hero Rene Gagnon envelope signed. Postmark date is 1943 when Gagnon was training as a Marine in WWII. Addressed to his girlfriend, Pauline Harnois. Signed in his full name, ''From Pvt. Rene Arthur Gagnon U.S.M.C.R. / 808276 / Plt. 382 M.B. / Parris Island S.C.''. Measures 7'' x 4''. Upper right corner has been cut off affecting postmark. Edges are creased and slightly torn. Very good condition.
