Volume one is signed and inscribed on front fly-leaf, ''To Mr. & Mrs. James E. Rogers / Kind regards / From Harry S. Truman / 1-20-65''. Volume two is again signed and inscribed on front fly-leaf, ''With best wishes to Mr. & Mrs. James E. Rogers / from / Harry Truman / 1-20-65''. Volume one runs 596pp; volume two runs 594pp. Each measures 5.5 ''x 8.5'' with no dustjacket, bound in black boards with silver gilt lettering, and a blue segment to title of spine. Minor toning and foxing to cover of volume two. Near fine.
