In this autobiography, Darrow writes of the early experiences that shaped his worldview, including the views of his abolitionist father and pro-suffragette mother. Darrow's autograph inscription to the front free endpaper reads in full, ''Inscribed / Harry Beardsley / With the kind regards of / Clarence Darrow / Fbry. 8th 1936''. Bound in indigo cloth boards with gilt lettering. Runs 255pp. and measures 5.75'' x 8.25''. Toning to endpapers, very slight cocking to spine and some paper remnants to front pastedown, else near fine.
