Screen-worn costume from the revered children's show, Captain Kangaroo. The costume is for ''Mr. Bainter the Painter'', played by Hugh ''Lumpy'' Brannum, who performed many of the show's best-known characters, including ''Mr. Green Jeans.'' Entire costume is splattered with bright paint in assorted colors and includes: (1) four khaki locomotive captain-style baseball caps; (2) pair of olive green worker boots, size 42; (3) red bandanna and (4) painter's jumpsuit. Measures 24'' x 60''. Near fine.
