Alien weapon capsule prop from the 2012 sci-fi film ''Prometheus''. The Ridley Scott thriller starred Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and Michael Fassbender as part of an ensemble cast of characters living in the late 21st century facing destruction by aliens. Ampule appeared onscreen as one of the containers of deadly black slime discovered in the sealed pyramid chamber. Ampules shown were small, medium and large; this is one of the small pieces. The film was widely praised for its attention to aesthetics and the crafting of these crucial items were no exception; specialty pottery craftsman Rob Sollis of Portugal was commissioned for the design, which features alien text running vertically around the ampule and a mixed metallic color palette. Prop is made of hard foam covered by a resin skin. Measures 17'' in height, with base diameters of 4'' and 4.75''. Some scuffing and scratching, with a chip surrounding hole bored into ampule near the bottom edge possibly caused by production, else near fine. With a COA from the Prop Store of London.
