''History of the Waldenses, From the Earliest Period to the Present Time,'' published by the American Sunday School Union: Philadelphia: 1829. Small 158pp. book describes the principles of the Waldenses religious movement, or the Christian sect founded in the Middle Ages by a French merchant in Lyon. Since colonial times, Waldensians escaping persecution for their beliefs found refuge in America, as marked by their congregations in New Jersey, Delaware and other states. Book measures 3.5'' x 5.5'' with worn marbled boards. Pages have significant toning and water damage. Good condition.
