'Little Rascals'' star Darla Hood typed letter signed to a fan, 40 years after her debut in ''Our Gang Follies of 1936.'' Her personal stationery bears her North Hollywood address. Dated 1 February 1975, just four years before her death, the candid response reads in part: ''...the re-runs are on every night at 6:30 out here in Calif. and although I don't watch every night, we try to see them several times a week...seeing them brings back many memories to me - some happy, some sad...I get sacks of fan mail...'Spanky' works for Philee-Ford in Texas; 'Perky' is a school teacher...'Buckwheat' works for Technicolor in LA; 'Stymie' is trying to make a show-biz comeback; 'Waldo' is a missionary in Saigon; 'Butch' is a prop man...'Mickey' is now known as Robert Blake and is the star of a new TV series...'Baretta'; 'Froggy'; 'Scotty Beckett' & 'Alfalfa' are dead...[signed] Darla Hood''.
