Isaac Newton's ''Opticks, or a Treatie of the Reflections, Refractions, Inflections and Colours of Light''. Printe in London: William and John Innys at the West End of St. Paul's, 1721, 3rd edition corrected. This is the last edition to be published in Newton's lifetime. Copy is beautifully bound in contemporary full panelled calf with five raised bands, sympathetically rebacked. Measures 5.5'' x 8''. Previous owner's name crossed out in title page border, some browning to endpapers and small portion of rear free endpaper cut out, but overall in crisp, very good plus condition, with 12 fold-out Figures present.
