Union Jack flag from official events of the 1966 FIFA World Cup finals. Table drop style flag features an embroidered Jules Rimet trophy in gilt thread, with white banners featuring gilt embroidery above and below the icon. The date of 1966 was originally gold braid, replaced with applied vintage gold tone metal numbers. The most recent use of the flag was for the International Sporting Club Awards, held at Hotel Ritz in Madrid, September 1966. Flag has been framed to an overall size of 59'' x 43.25''. Originally from Mullock's sale, held 10 May 2001.
