Mary Kornman was a child actress during the silent film era and is best-known for starring in Hal Roach’s Our Gang series which later became known as The Little Rascals. Kornman came from an entertainment family as her mother was also an actress, her stepfather was a camera operator for Hal Roach and her sister, Mildred who later became known as Ricki VanDusen, was a child actress and model. Kornman continued to do some acting beyond Our Gang and appeared in its teen spinoff called The Boy Friends. The last film she appeared in was On the Spot in 1940 directed by Howard Bretherton.

Mary Kornman “Our Gang” Document Signed 1930
“Our Gang” contract between Hal Roach Studios and performer Mary Kornman. Dated 26 March 1930 and signed in ink by Mary Kornman, her parents and studio President Hal Roach. Document measures 9″ x 14″ and runs 13pp. Wear and small tears to edges of cover page and rusting to staples, otherwise near fine condition. Sold for $1,028.

William “Buckwheat” Thomas signed 5″ x 7″ photo. Image signed in fountain pen, “Buckwheat.” One of the most distinctive and beloved members of the “Gang,” Buckwheat’s trademarks included wide-eyed double takes and pigtails that would stand on end when he was “ascared.” Thomas dropped out of show business after his contract expired, and later found work as a film technician for Technicolor. Accompanied by original Hal Roach Studio mailing envelope. Scattered silvering and light soiling, otherwise very good. Sold for $840.
Allen ”Farina” Hoskins of ”Our Gang” Signed Photo
American actor best remembered as the character ”Farina” in the ”Our Gang” film shorts of the 1920’s. At the end of his decade-long stint with the series in 1931, Hoskins was the most popular and highest paid of the juvenile stars in the series. Rare vintage matte-finish 3.5” x 5.5” photo of the young Hoskins in a sailor suit at the height of his popularity, is signed in ink ”Allen, ‘Farina,’ Hoskins.” Light silvering to dark portions and a hint of subtle edge wear, otherwise near fine condition. Sold for $313.
