Artwork is a near completed study for the ''The New Yorker'' cover published 21 March 1936, depicting an intense pianist playing to a near empty theatre save for his devoted followers. Completed on semi-rigid artist paper measuring 10.5'' x 13'', with image area 8.5'' x 10.5''. Light uniform toning, overall near fine condition.
