'Prince Valiant'' Sunday comic strip by John Cullen Murphy, #2,071 in the series published on 17 October 1976. In this strip Val is successful in securing the future for his sister-in-law Helene (sister of Aleta), whom he saved from her treacherous husband Dionseus. In this edition, Helene finds love with the bachelor King Telamon, and Prince Valiant can therefore return home. Though drawn by Murphy, strip is based upon Hal Foster's original sketch and script, Lot 244 of this sale. Eight panel strip measures 16.25'' x 23'', with King Features Syndicate label on sixth panel. Lettering and title card glued on. In three sections, secured by tape on verso. Overall in very good plus condition with toning to lettering. From the estate of John Cullen Murphy.
