Rare autograph letter signed by a German resistance prisoner held at Gerichtsgefangnis, also called Plotzensee Prison in Berlin where political prisoners were held, interrogated and often executed during WWII. Untranslated letter in German is dated 25 May 1942, spanning four pages. Written on official prison stationery, with typed rules appearing on the first page, in part, ''Please note! It is strictly forbidden to send tobacco of any kind, as well as stamps, toiletries or food or drink...the prisoners of conscience are only allowed to send a letter every four weeks...'' Card-style letter measures 6'' x 8.5'' closed. Toning, some soiling and separation starting along folds. Very good condition with legible handwriting.
