Attractive military document signed by Theodore Roosevelt as President, appointing Adolph Hasler to Chief Gunner in the U.S. Navy. Dated 23 March 1906, document is countersigned by Charles J. Bonaparte as Secretary of the Navy. With naval vignettes at bottom, including a depiction of sea monsters and Poseidon with his horses. Blue seal affixed to bottom of vellum document, which measures 15.75'' x 19.75. Well preserved in very good plus condition.
