A strong abolitionist, Hamlin was replaced on the ticket with Andrew Johnson in order to appeal to southern unionists. Signed ''Hannibal Hamlin'' and dated July 4, 1885. Measures 4.5'' x 2.5''. Light soiling and separation of card at upper right corner, overall very good.
