Ray Bolger's tap shoes and top hat, used for his theater performances. Most famous, of course, for his role as the Scarecrow in ''The Wizard of Oz'', Bolger was also a famous Broadway song and dance man who earned one of the very first Tony awards in 1949 for ''Where's Charley?''. Lot includes Bolger's top hat and tap shoes: Black silk top hat is made by Gelot of Paris for Saks-Fifth Avenue, measuring 5'' tall. Near fine condition. Black suede tap shoes by La Ray have no size listed, but measure approximately 10.5'' in length. Soles lightly worn, but overall in near fine condition. With an LOA from Ray Bolger's niece.
